5. Managing Your CryptoMail Email Account

The CryptoMail Service provides a set of organization tools for you to manage your Email account efficiently and relatively effortlessly. You access our organization tools from the Client Menu and the Management Toolbar in the "CryptoMail Client Window". In addition, the Email organization tools are available in other pop up windows..

The organization tools allow you to create new folders, rename folders, delete folders, move Email messages, copy Email messages, delete Email messages and empty the trash folder. You use the organization tools to place Email messages into folders, so you can organize and find your Email messages. When you have used our service for a period of time, you may want to remove Email messages to save space and simplify your Email account usage.

5.1 Creating a New Folder

Creating folders in your mail box helps you to organize your Email messages into different categories. For example, you may create a folder for more personal Email messages from your friends and family members, while you save Email messages from your colleagues into another folder.

You can create a new folder from the "Save To Folder", the "Move To Folder" and the "Copy To Folder" windows, and when you save, move or copy an Email message in your Email account. You also can create a new folder from the "CryptoMail Client Window". In this section, you will learn to create a new folder from the "CryptoMail Client Window".

New Folder New Folder

You select a base location of your new folder from the Folder Browser area in the "CryptoMail Client Window", then you click on the "New Folder" icon or the "New..." button in the "CryptoMail Client Window" to create a new folder at the root (/), in the default folders (inbox, trash, drafts or sent-items) or inside other folders in your mail box. The "New Folder" dialog box shows up on your screen for you to enter the name of the new folder.

The "New Folder" dialog allows you to place any name for the new folder, so you can choose a name that is easy and meaningful for you to remember. After you put the new folder's name in the text box, you press "OK" to create the new folder.

5.2 Moving Messages To a Folder

You move your Email messages from one folder to another folder to organize your Email messages. For example, you may move your personal Email messages from the folder, inbox to another folder that you have created for personal Email messages.

You are able to move your Email message from a Message Viewer window, when you are reading an Email message in your Email account. The "CryptoMail Client Window" also provides the function for you to move your Email messages. In this section, you will learn to move an Email message from the "CryptoMail Client Window".

You select an Email message from the Email Message Browser area in the "CryptoMail Client Window", then you click on the "Move Message" icon in the "CryptoMail Client Window" to move the Email message into another folders. The "Move To Folder" window comes up on your screen for you to move the Email message into a new folder or a selected folder.

If you need to create a new folder, you press "New Folder" to create the new folder with the "New Folder" dialog box. After you select the folder where you want to put your Email message, you press "OK" to finish.

The Email client provides a fast one press button in the "CryptoMail Client Window" for you to move your Email message into a folder.

  1. Select Email message(s) from the Email Message Browser area. Extended selection is allowed with the Control or Shift modifiers.
  2. Select a folder from the folder drop box
  3. Press the "Move:"

5.3 Copying Messages To a Folder

You use the copy command of the Email client to make a copy of Email messages for backing up your Email messages in your mail box.

You are able to copy your Email message from a Message Viewer window, when you are reading an Email message in your Email account. The "CryptoMail Client Window" also provides the function for you to copy your Email messages. In this section, you will learn to copy an Email message from the "CryptoMail Client Window".

You select an Email message from the Email Message Browser area in the "CryptoMail Client Window", then you click on the "Copy Message" icon in the "CryptoMail Client Window" to duplicate an Email message into another folder. The "Copy To Folder" window will show in your screen.

You press "New Folder" in the "Copy To Folder" window to create a new folder using the "New Folder" dialog box. After you select the folder to copy your Email message, you press "OK" to finish.

The Email client provides a fast one press button in the "CryptoMail Client Window" for you to copy your Email message into a folder.

  1. Selects an Email message from the Email Messages Browser area
  2. Selects a folder from the folder drop box
  3. Press the "Copy:"

5.4 Renaming a Folder

Renaming folders helps you to change the name of a folder to a more meaningful name. The Email client allows you to rename any folders that you have create, but you cannot read the default folders (inbox, trash, drafts or sent-items) inside your mail box.

You select a folder from the Files Browser area in the "CryptoMail Client Window", then you click on the "Rename Folder" icon or the "Rename..." button in the "CryptoMail Client Window" to rename a folder to any name. The "Rename Folder" dialog box shows up on your screen for you to enter a new name of the folder.

You enter any name that you wish for the folder, then you press "OK" to finish.

5.5 Deleting a Message

Sometimes, you may want to delete some of your Email messages to keep your Email account easy to manage. When you delete an Email message, you have an option to put the deleted Email message into a recycle bin.

You select an Email message(s) from the Email Message Browser area in the "CryptoMail Client Window", then you click on the "Delete Message" icon in the "CryptoMail Client Window" to delete the Email message. The "Deleting Selection" dialog box pops up on your screen to ask you for confirmation.

By pressing the "Permanently" button, you remove the Email message that you want to delete from your Email account. If you want to trash your Email message, you press the "Trash" button to move the Email message into the trash folder of your Email account. For more information about emptying the trash folder, you read the section 5.7 Emptying the Trash Folder.

5.6 Deleting a Folder

You delete a folder in your mail box to ease your Email account management or increase performance of your Email account. With well managed Email account folders in your Email account, the Email client is able to list your folders faster in the Files Browser area in the "CryptoMail Client Window".

You select a folder from the Files Browser area in the "CryptoMail Client Window", then you click on the "Delete Folder" icon in the "CryptoMail Client Window" to delete the folder. The "Deleting Folder" dialog box pops up on your screen to ask you for confirmation.

You press the "Permanently" button to remove the folder that you want to delete from your Email account, or you press the "Cancel" to quit the operation.

5.7 Emptying the Trash Folder

After you have used the CryptoMail Service for a long period of time or you have deleted many Email messages, you may need to empty the Email messages in the trash folder that you have deleted. The action of emptying the trash folder helps you to save disk space, so your Email account will not pass the (Usage Quota) disk space limit.

You click on the "Empty Trash" icon in the "CryptoMail Client Window" to empty the trash folder in your Email account. The "Emptying Trash" dialog box pops up on your screen to ask you for confirmation.

If you want to remove all Email messages in the trash folder, you press the "Permanently" button to proceed. You also can empty your trash folder by deleting individual entries in your trash folder.

5.8 Setting Up User Options

Keeping you in touch with your Email, friends and family effortlessly, the CryptoMail Client provides two options for you to setup your personal name and page address for your Email account. If you have an Email pager or cellar net phone, you will find the "Page Address" very useful for you.

A "Personal Name" is the name next to your Email address, when people receive your Email. Setup your personal name helps your friends and family to know the name of the sender (such as your full name).

A "Page Address" is an Email address that the CryptoMail.org will use to notify you, when a new Email arrive your mail box. Setup your page address help us to remind you to check your Email.

User Options User Options

You click on the "Options" icon in the "CryptoMail Client Window" to setup your personal name and page address in the "User Options" dialog box. You place your name or nickname that people know you for in the "Personal Name" text box, and you enter a valid Email address (e.g. Email Pager or Cellar Phone) in the "Page Address" text box that will use to notify you, when a new message arrived in your CryptoMail Email account.

When you finish setting up your personal name and page address for your Email account, you press "Apply" to make the user options into your current account.

Disable Page Option: If you want to disable the page option and stop CryptoMail to notify any new arriving Email messages in your mail box, you need to remove the Email address in the "Page Address" text box and apply the new setting.
