14. Recommended Backup Manual Jobs

  • /usr/local/src/CryptoMail-1.0.0A/*
    • This entire directory contains the source. Any changes to the html or cgi scripts should be edited here. That way a "make; make install" command will retain the changes. Also, the .configure settings are retained so on a new system one can simply do a "make; make install" if the .configure settings are the same.
    • Backup: When Modified
  • /var/www/*
    • This is the "live" website. A combination of this and the CryptoMail source (above) should be able to restore all changes to a new system.
    • Backup: When Modified
  • /etc/mail/cryptomail.cf
    • This file is tricky to generate. On a new system, if the installation process does not generate the file, this version can simply be "dropped" if the sole purpose of sendmail is to deliver CryptoMail emails
    • Backup: When Modified
  • /home/crypto/CryptoMailPage.txt
    • This is the paging notification message
    • Backup: When Modified
  • /etc/ssl/starterssl/*
    • This is the location of the SSL certificates for Apache
    • Backup: When Modified
  • /usr/local/bin/ipupdate
    • This is the dynamic DNS updating program
    • Backup: When Modified
